And a little extra:

Martian Manhunter

Old sketch from a time when -for five minutes- Scott Lobdell and me were going to pitch a space Kung Fu take on Martian Manhunter.
(If I recall correctly I had based him on Peter Mensah.)

Barbarians In Love

Another one of my comics that never came to be. This one was to be my followup to Zuda after Melody but the imprint closed and I never did anything with the concept after that.

The series, called Barbarians In Love, would have been a soap opera set in a Conan-esque setting. Romance and violence, broken hearts and severed heads... that kind of thing. (Some of the themes found their way into my following graphic novel, Falling For Lionheart).

From time to time I think I might revive this...(At some point I was talking with Jed Dougherty about him drawing it and me writting it. How awesome would THAT have been?!)
Oh, well... who knows what may happen in the future?

(And yes, the inspiration for the above images is this.)

Teen Titans pencils

A few unused pages I did for DC's Teen Titans.

Uncanny X-men #141 recreation

Recreation of John Byrne's cover for Uncanny X-men #141 I did for a fundraising event at Comicdom Con Athens 2014. Below is the original cover:

And here I am with the guy who won and took it home. (My thanks to him for sending me a scan).

Many more artists (Glen Fabry, Emanuela Lupacchino, Stephen Mooney, Michael Dialynas and others) took part in this and you can check the results here.

Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression COSPLAY

Weee! The first cosplay based on one of my designs!

Nick Nielsen did a stellar job bringing the Wild West Peter Venkman from the Ghostbuster miniseries I did to life. Amazing!

Check out how he did it HERE.

Elysium Online wins 4 Comicdom Awards (including Best Comic)

Last night, at the awards show of Comicdom Con Athens, the biggest Greek convention (and I'm pretty sure one of the biggest East European ones) my latest graphic novel, Elysium Online won every major category!
Best Artist, Best Writer, Best Self-publication and the grand prize of Best Comic!

So yeah... I'm ecstatic!
I'll remind you that this is a crowd-funded book, that would simply not exist if people had not decided to bet on it based on nothing more than a few pages and maybe because they liked my previous work. I will never be able to thank enough all of you who helped this happen.

What's written under the Best Comic award? A secret message by star artist (and very good friend), Michel Dialynas, who presented it to me. It's washable ink but no way I'm wiping it away :)

And I learned afterwards that another good friend, Tind, constructed the actual awards.

And he never said a word! The bastard :P

At the closing party with the amazing Dimitrios Kasdaglis who drew part of the book.

At the Giganto booth with my best buddy, Tassos Papaioannou. Wonderful person, powerful artist, spectacular graphic designer of Elysium Online, publisher of my latest book Melody, brother.

So...

If you haven't read Elysium Online you might want to correct that.

You can order the book here.

Thanks again!
