Uncanny X-men #141 recreation

Recreation of John Byrne's cover for Uncanny X-men #141 I did for a fundraising event at Comicdom Con Athens 2014. Below is the original cover:

And here I am with the guy who won and took it home. (My thanks to him for sending me a scan).
Many more artists (Glen Fabry, Emanuela Lupacchino, Stephen Mooney, Michael Dialynas and others) took part in this and you can check the results here.

Elysium Online wins 4 Comicdom Awards (including Best Comic)

Last night, at the awards show of Comicdom Con Athens, the biggest Greek convention (and I'm pretty sure one of the biggest East European ones) my latest graphic novel, Elysium Online won every major category!
Best Artist, Best Writer, Best Self-publication and the grand prize of Best Comic!

So yeah... I'm ecstatic!
I'll remind you that this is a crowd-funded book, that would simply not exist if people had not decided to bet on it based on nothing more than a few pages and maybe because they liked my previous work. I will never be able to thank enough all of you who helped this happen.

What's written under the Best Comic award? A secret message by star artist (and very good friend), Michel Dialynas, who presented it to me. It's washable ink but no way I'm wiping it away :)

And I learned afterwards that another good friend, Tind, constructed the actual awards.
And he never said a word! The bastard :P

At the closing party with the amazing Dimitrios Kasdaglis who drew part of the book.

At the Giganto booth with my best buddy, Tassos Papaioannou. Wonderful person, powerful artist, spectacular graphic designer of Elysium Online, publisher of my latest book Melody, brother.

So...
If you haven't read Elysium Online you might want to correct that.
You can order the book here.

Thanks again!

NYCC: Elysium Online, Crossover Cartoons and more!

Ok, Elysium Online is ready! I cannot wait for you to read it!

If you were not an Indiegogo backer you'll be able to pick up a copy at table H15, at the Artist Alley of New York Comic Con. It's the table I'll be sharing with Michael Dialynas and besides fresh copies of Elysium Online and original pages and various goodies I'll have a brand new minibook printed especially for the con!

It's called Crossover Cartoons and it includes all of the gag cartoons I did for socomic.gr as well as a bunch of new ones. What happens when Superman meets Donald Duck? Spider-man meets Lady Gaga? the X-men meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Only 250 numbered copies.

Not coming to NYCC?

Well then you can order Elysium Online HERE
and Crossover Cartoons HERE (available only WITH Elysium Online)

(And here are Mike and myself's banners for NYCC. Artist Alley! H15! Be there!)

Comicdom Con Athens 2012 photos

Photos from the 3-day Comicdom Con Athens 2012

The Giganto Books booth where I spent most of the time.

Here one could find the last copies of The Dragon And The Ghost plus older minicomics. Original art too.

Mary Sinatsaki with her copy of the greek edition of Falling For Lionheart.

Off-duty cosplayer and long time fan with The Dragon And The Ghost.

Another happy customer, also long time fan and fellow tumblr -er.

I drew more than a hundred of these. I tried to make each one slightly different.

This is how I marked my minions.

With amazing artist, super cool guy and official con guest Yildiray Cinar of Fury Of Firestorm fame.

At a panel about making a living on comics. Mike Carey and Yildiray Cinar way at the back. Bleeding Cool's Rich Johnston is about to connect via Skype.

My Marvel top 100 5 meters long print I was using to show off.

 And again...

And again. See the artwork in detail here.

Last sketch I did. So morbid...

That's it! I had a lot of fun, I cannot wait for next year.
